What factually happened or is happening?
How do I feel about what’s happening?
Is the story I’m telling myself about this situation helpful? How can I reframe the narrative? What is the brightest possible interpretation of these events?
What is outside of your control? What is within your control?
Which of the things within your control could you do something about right now?
Add action items to calendar/to do list
Have I treated myself compassionately during this time?
How can I show up for myself right now?
Do I need help that I haven’t yet asked for?
Write a note to yourself as if a friend you love and care about came to you with the problem/crisis you’re having. How would you compassionately advise them and comfort them?
